Mukesh first assaulted the married woman and later threw acid, injuring her seriously this afternoon, Additional Superintendent of Police Ram Bhawan Chaurasiya said.
He said the accused and the victim used to work together in a drama company, but Mukesh had left around 10 days back.
The ASP said the woman's husband has lodged an FIR against Mukesh and three other unidentified persons in this connection.
The accused are yet to be arrested.
