The incident took place in Beejapaar village of the district, police said.
Accused Dharmendra was beaten by his brother and father during an argument, after which in a fit of rage, he poured acid on his sister-in-law who was also present there, police said.
The woman has been admitted to a hospital where her condition is stated to be out of danger, they said, adding that Dharmendra has been arrested.
