Man wanted in several cases of cheating nabbed

Gurpreet Singh, a native of Jalandhar, used to trap dealers of copper, brass and aluminium by inducing them to send consignments for sale in surroundings of Chandigarh, Police official of economic offence wing said in a release.

Singh used to interact with them through internet and was wanted by the police in several states.

Cases against Singh were registered in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Delhi, Gaziabad (UP), Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and several other places.

He had also opened fake bank accounts to cheat traders, official said.
