CPI(Maoists) area commander (Porahat sub-zone) Sanjay Bodra alias Tata alias Birsa Bodra was arrested from Nathi Bazar under Karaikela police station last night, Superintendent of Police, N K Singh said.
Bodra was involved in nine Maoist-related incidents under Sonua, Tebo, Bandgaon and Goilkera police stations and was also an accused in the killing of six villagers under Sonua police station two years ago, Singh told reporters here.
Bodra was considered as the right-hand of Maoists leader Prasadji, who was active in Saranda forest area of the district.
