The company had reported a net profit of Rs 118.26 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Marico's net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,483.53 crore, up 3.80 as against net profit of Rs 1,429.14 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, the company said in a BSE filing.

The company posted a 28% increase in its consolidated net profit for the six months ended September 30 at Rs 388.55 crore as compared with Rs 303.54 crore for the same period last fiscal.
Its net sales during the first half of the current fiscal was up 7.10% to Rs 3,265.00 crore as against Rs 3,048.37 crore in the same period a year ago.
Shares of Marico were trading at Rs 398.10 per scrip, up 1.84% from previous close on the BSE.
