Nawada Sadar Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said the incident happened on State Highway - 82, which goes from Gaya to Rajgir.
The robbers stopped the vehicles at a place called Faldu under Nardiganj police station. Many of the vehicles belonged to tourists who flock the area during the winter season.
