Maximum temperatures settle above normal in Pb & Hry

With Haryana and Punjab witnessing poor rainfall activity for the last couple of days, maximum temperatures today hovered above normal level across the two neighbouring states.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a high of 36.5 deg C, up four notches, the MeT report said here.
In Haryana, Bhiwani experienced a hot day at 37.6 deg C, up four degrees while Hisar, too, had a sultry day at 36.5 deg C, up three notches.
Karnal recorded a high of 35 deg C, up two degrees while Ambala's maximum settled at 34.9 deg C, two above normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.8 deg C, up two notches while Ludhiana's maximum settled at 35.6 deg C, up two degrees.
Patiala recorded a high of 37.2 deg C, up four notches.
