Several AAP MLAs today alleged that execution of civic works in their constituencies were being delayed by three BJP-controlled municipal corporations and DUDA.
MLA Somnath Bharti said several works, which are to be executed under MLA local area development funds, have been pending for several months due to apathy of the Delhi Urban Development Agency (DUDA).
DUDA was constituted last year by the Delhi government as a central agency for execution of development projects as well as maintenance of public assets.
Bharti said projects for fogging machines have been "pending for five months" and there has also been "no approval" for installation of CCTV cameras in his constituency.
AAP MLAs Jarnail Singh and Akhileshpati Tripathi also accused the municipal corporations of delaying civic works in their constituencies despite the fact that MCD, which is an executive agency, is given funds through MLA funds.
