Mercury soars, Kota registered highest temperature in Raj

Kota today recorded the highest temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius in Rajasthan followed by Churu which registered a day temperature of 41.3 degrees.
According to MeT department, the day temperature in Jaipur, Ajmer and Barmer was 38.9, 38.4 and 37.8 degrees Celsius respectively while other stations recorded a maximum temperature below 37 degrees.
It predicted dust and thunder storms at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hours.
