The weather in the state remained dry in the past 24 hours with Gaya recording the highest maximum temperature at 39.7 deg C, two degrees above normal, a Met bulletin said.
The maximum temperature of the state capital increased to 37.4 deg C from yesterday's 36 deg C. Bhagalpur recorded the maximum temperature of 38.2 deg C and the mercury stood at 35.3 deg C in Purnea, the Met office said.
