Metal ends mixed in lacklustre trade

Select copper prices gained in a otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today due persistent stockists buying amidst sustained demand from industrial users.
Brass and aluminium utensil scrap prices moved down on reduced offtake from consumer industries.
Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 493 and Rs 477 from Rs 491 and Rs 475, respectively.
Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap and copper wire bar inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 500, Rs 458 and Rs 528.
However, brass sheet cutting and aluminium utensils scrap declined by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 352 and Rs 123 from Rs 354 and Rs 124, respectively.
Copper armature and Brass utensils scrap softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 481 and Rs 341.
