His body was interred in a tomb at Saint George's Duomo Church at nearby Thozhiyoor, headquarters of the MISC, church sources said.
He was 60.
The metropolitan was found lying in a helpless condition after vomiting blood at his chamber on Sunday afternoon when his brother called on him with Onam meals, the sources added.
He was rushed to a private hospital at nearby Kunnamkulam where he doctors said he had died of a heart attack.
He was elevated to the position of the metropolitan of MISC in August 1986, the sources said.
During his tenure, the status of the MISC, among other denominations of Church, was at its zenith and made friendly strides in U.K., USA, France and Germany.
A large number of people from various walks of life attended the funeral procession and the service.
