Concerned over the alleged attacks in Gurgaon on two youth hailing from the Northeast, the Home Ministry today sought a report from the Haryana government detailing the incident and the steps taken to nab the accused.
In a communication to the Haryana government, the Home Ministry said steps should be taken immediately against the guilty and the report detailing the incident should be sent as early as possible.
The two youths, Aayug and Alato, belonging to the Northeast were allegedly attacked by eight persons at Sikanderpur in Gurgaon last night.
The victims sustained severe injuries and have been admitted to Gurgaon Civil Hospital for treatment, police said.
The victims were living in a rented room in Sikanderpur village. While, Alato works at private firm here, Aayug is an unemployed youth, police said.
The medical examination of the victims is being conducted and an FIR would be lodged on the basis of the medical report.
