Deimon Dhar (28) and Thomas Jones Ryngkhlem (27) were arrested based on an inputs the police received that the duo were carrying illegal arms, SP H G Lyngdoh said.
A 7.65 pistol, 2 magazines and 6 rounds of ammunition were seized from Dhar and a 0.22 pistol, a magazine with 15 rounds of ammunition was seized from Jones, the SP said.
Both were booked under Arms Act.
Preliminary investigations ruled out any link with any of the militant outfits in the state, he said.
