Michael Lohan's partner files for separation

Michael Lohan's estranged wife Kate Major has called time on their troubled relationship by filing papers for legal separation.
Lindsay Lohan's father wed former tabloid reporter Major last year, but their embattled marriage has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent months.
The couple lost custody of its two young children last month, after video footage emerged of Lohan and Major having a heated bust-up at their Florida home in front of their sons Landon and Logan in October.
The kids were placed in the care of Michael's mother, while Major subsequently checked into rehab, and Michael was arrested for battery relating to the domestic dispute.

Major has since filed court documents to make their split official, revealing they separated in October.
