Mild earthquake in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

A mild earthquake was reported late tonight in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale.
According to a preliminary report issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, the earthquake of slight intensity occurred in the middle Andaman Island at 11:59 P.M. IST and had a focal depth of 50-km.
