Mild earthquake in Meerut

A mild earthquake, measuring 2.7 in the Richter Scale, hit the Meerut region of western Uttar Pradesh this evening, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The epicenter of the tremor was Meerut and there was no report of any loss of life or property, officials said.
