A Turkish military helicopter with 14 people onboard, including a brigadier general, crashed today in the northeastern province of Giresun, CNN-Turk television reported.
The Sikorsky S-70 crashed in bad weather in a mountainous area of Giresun, which lies on the Black Sea, the channel said, adding that the cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The passengers included several other officers as well as civilians and children -- relatives of soldiers, the channel said, without confirming any casualties.
