Armed men stabbed to death three persons, including two women, and injured another three people in Kasganj city in western Uttar Pradesh, police said today.
The miscreants barged into the residence of Balwant Singh last night in Nabinagar area and tied his wife Champa Devi, daughter-in-law Maya Devi and another person identified as Ramdas to a bed and beat them with iron rods, police said.
They then stabbed them persons to death.
Another three people seriously injured in the incident have been admitted to a hospital, police said.
Police said prima-facies it appears to be a case of loot or old enmity. An investigation is underway.
