Mizoram Narcotics seize 49,400 Metamphetamine tablets

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department's Anti Narcotics Squad seized 49,400 tablets of Methamphetamine at Mizoram-Myanmar border Champhai town last night, the department's spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga today said.
Zohmingthanga said that three persons, including a woman, all residents of Champhai were arrested in this connection.
He said that the seized contraband, reportedly smuggled from Myanmar, is worth around Rs 123.50 lakh in the local market.
The three accused persons were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985.
