BJP Parliamentary Party today lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "historic" Nepal visit, saying it helped remove misgivings and his "new language of diplomacy" has made a fresh start in bilateral ties.
It unanimously passed a resolution at its meeting, saying the trip is "historical break from an unforgettable past" and the "Prime Minister is making concerted efforts to have a new and meaningful friendship among SAARC nations", adding that Modi has injected a new life in Indo-Nepal relations.
"The BJP Parliamentary Party congratulates the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his successful tour of Nepal.
"The Prime Minister's stance - 'No interference in internal affairs of Nepal and only solicited cooperation' - was well received by one and all," said the resolution moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu.
It said that Modi's support to a democratic republic Constitution has helped in removing several misgivings and the Prime Minister spoke a new language of diplomacy, matching the high expectations of Nepal and has inaugurated a fresh start in bilateral relations.
