AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a four-day tour of Gujarat, today took on Chief Minister Narendra Modi and targeted his pro-industry image saying he may be a 'vikashpurush' but only for industrialists.
A day after he was briefly detained and his car attacked during a tour in the state, Kejriwal today met farmers in Mundra tehsil where Adani Port and Special Economic zone (SEZ) are situated.
"Modi is a vikaspurush (development man), but only for Adanis and Ambanis," Kejriwal said.
He alleged that big industries, in a nexus with government, have started acquiring lands. "It seems that the entire land of Gujarat is on sale."
"Through media, he (Modi) spreads a propaganda of development. But have you heard voices of content here? People are only talking about their agony," Kejriwal said.
The AAP leader alleged that industrialists have earned so much black money that they would flee to Switzerland any day.
He visited various places in the Kutch district and Maliya town of Rajkot district on the second day of his tour to "inspect" the development claims of Modi government today.
Other AAP leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Gopal Rai travelled to other parts of Gujarat separately.
The AAP would be coming out with a comprehensive report on the status of development in Gujarat, party sources said.
Kejriwal met with protest from BJP members today too, however police, present in strength, thwarted possible clashes between the supporters of AAP and BJP.
He met and interacted with Sikh farmers, fishermen, salt pan workers and also addressed AAP workers and villagers.
