"A monthly honorarium of Rs 3,100 to the Pesh Imams and Rs 2,500 to Mouzans will be paid by the government after completion of every three months," Islam said in a statement here.
The scheme will be applicable to those wakf institutions whose income is less than Rs one lakh per annum, he said.
Karnataka State Wakf Board will obtain Attendance Certificate in respect of Pesh Imams and Mouzans serving in the respective wakf institutions, scrutinise them as per rules and send proposals to government for sanction of honorarium, Islam said.
