The three-day police remand of fake godman Sura Mishra's elder son Trilochan Mishra ended here today and he was remanded to judicial custody after the crime branch produced him at a Bhubaneswar court.
Trilochan was sent to the capital's Jharapada jail, where his arrested father and younger brother were housed.
Crime branch officers said the police remand of Trilochan turned out to be fruitful as the sleuths were able to extract details about the secret riches and properties of Trahi Achyuta Ashram.
The investigating officers were now trying to stitch up evidences against the father-sons trio. They said.
The police have obtained details from Trilochan about possession of some 82 acres of land by the Ashram and their family members.
While 37 acres were recorded in the name of the Ashram, 45 acres were recorded in the names of their family members. Of them, about 28 acres were recorded in the name of Trilochan alone, who was handling the financial transactions of the Ashram, the officers said.
The Ashram had also procured landed properties at locations outside the state, including Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi, in its name, they claimed.
The crime branch sleuths were able to extract from Trilochan vital details about other movable and immovable properties of the Ashram, while interrogating him.
The Ashram had a bank locker in which gold jewellery worth over Rs 10 lakh were traced, the officers said adding, the Ashram had procured a toy train and laid tracks costing around Rs 48 lakh.
The temple inside the Ashram was built at a cost of Rs four crore and there were different brass idols in it costing over Rs 25 lakh, the officers added.
