Mother-daughter killed in road mishap

A mother-daughter duo was killed and four others injured today after a car they were travelling in allegedly collided with a truck in Jaswantnagar area here, police said.
The incident occurred this morning when the car carrying six persons collided with a truck at Jaswantnagar, Circle Officer, Shiv Singh said.
Puja (28) and her daughter Arshika (2) died on the spot, while four others were injured in the accident, he said.
The car was heading to Rae Bareli from New Delhi.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that a case has been registered against the truck driver.

Efforts are on to nab the absconding driver, Singh added.
