Mother-son duo run over by speeding vehicle in Ghaziabad

A mother-son duo were today run over by a speeding vehicle in Sahibabad here when they were returning from a nearby Mother Dairy booth, police said.
The incident took place when a milk vendor, identified as Rahul and his mother Mithlesh, both residents of Pasonda village, were returning back from the Mother Dairy booth after collecting milk, SHO Sahibabad Upendra Yadav said.
Both of them were run over by the speeding vehicle at around 5.45 am when they were trying to cross the Loni road.
Locals gathered at the spot and rushed the duo to a nearby hospital where Mithlesh was declared brought dead. Rahul is still undergoing treatment, he said.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and an FIR has been registered against the unknown vehicle owner, said the officer.
