Movement for reopening of tea gardens warned

Tea workers of north Bengal today threatened to launch a movement if the closed gardens were not opened in a month.
Progressive Tea Workers Union Chairman John Barla demanded government help in restoring the sick tea gardens and said the movement would also be launched if it was not done during the time frame.
A memorandum was submitted to the district magistrate through the additional district magistrate.
The union has the support of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad.
