Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and V K Singh today joined the BJP's ongoing Janraksha Yatra against the alleged killing of party workers in the communist-ruled Kerala.
Attacking the CPI(M)-led LDF government, Chouhan alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was responsible for the "political killings" in the state. "He has no right to continue as chief minister," he added.
Minister of State of External Affairs V K Singh also lambasted the ruling government, saying political violence occurs in Kerala whenever the LDF (Left Democratic Front) comes to power.
All three leaders visited the family of BJP worker Radhakrishnan, who was recently killed, allegedly by CPI(M) workers, at Kanjikode in the district.
The Janaraksha Yatra was flagged off by BJP president Amit Shah at Payyanoor in Kannur on October 3 to highlight "Red and Jihadi terrorism" in the state. The Yatra will end here on October 17.
Kerala, especially the volatile Kannur district, has been witnessing a series of political killings and counter-killings of CPI(M) and RSS-BJP activists.
