A police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence here, an official said today.
Constable Rajendra Rajput (35) committed suicide last night apparently over stress and depression caused by a dispute with his in-laws, said Additional Superintendent of Police Pramod Sonkar.
Rajput, a resident of Udaipura here, had got job in the police force on compassionate grounds at a very young age after his father's death.
After the autopsy, police handed over his body to family members. A case has been registered and further probe was on.
