"It is not the large industry, but the MSME sector of the country that will help in making the 'Make in India' pledge successful," Mishra said at an event here last evening.
He said that the MSME department would start incubation centres in small towns across the country, while large incubation centres would be set up in big towns through the PPP route.
Mishra said from April 1, this year, it would made mandatory for all PSUs to make a minimum purchase of 20 per cent from MSMEs.
Mishra said that the MSME sector was the way forward to create entrepreneurship development among the youth of the country and for job creation.
