Shaktivel (37) was arrested, based on the complaint of his fourth wife, seeking action against him for entering into wedlock with another woman some days back.
In her complaint to all the women's police station here, she alleged that he had sexually tortured her and allegedly forced her to perform lewd acts.
On being questioned, the man confessed to having married a woman in 2002 and that she had left him after the sexual torture and lewd acts, police said.
As the woman who filed the complaint also left him some months ago, the painter married another woman a couple of days back.
Coming to know of this, she filed a complaint.
Shaktivel was arrested today and produced before a Court and lodged in the Central Jail here, police said.
