Murder accused gunned down after release from jail

Shortly after release from jail, an alleged historysheeter was today shot dead by unidentified men at Old Purulia Road in Azadnagar here, police said.
Three unidentified assailant pumped in two bullets into Abdul Majeed alias Pappu, a resident of Makdampur under Parsudih police station limit, as soon as he got down from an autorickshaw on Road No.15, Old Purulia Road late in the evening, police said.
Abdul, who died instantly, was wanted in over a dozen criminal offences including murder, extortion and under Arms Act.
Police launched a massive hunt to apprehend the culprits.
