Officials of Indian Coast Guard said the Myanmarese nationals, including 4 women and 9 children, were rescued from sea near Narcondum Island on December 2.
On receipt of information from the police, Indian Coast Guard rescued them from the high sea and sent them to Narcondum Island.
They left Myanmar on November 25 for Malaysia but the boat developed technical snag and drifted towards Andaman and Nicobar islands.
