NABARD Chief General Manager Jiji Mammen said that during 2013-14, NABARD sanctioned a total of Rs 1,201 crore to the AP government which works out to 83 per cent of the target.
Since RIDF's inception in 1995-96, NABARD sanctioned a loan component of Rs 16,625 crore for 28,775 projects to the state government.
Major sectors which received financial support from NABARD are agriculture and allied activities (Rs 7,282 crore), rural connectivity Rs 6,336 crore and social sector (Rs 3,007 crore), according to a NABARD statement.
