Naga villager shot dead by Assam police

A Naga villager was allegedly shot dead by Assam police near Indisen village of Dimapur district bordering Assam.
The 38-year-old deceased identified as Supongtemjen Longkumer was killed in forest area of the village yesterday, Additional SP of Dimapur district said today.
The body, recovered from a jungle area by a search party, bore bullet wounds and several other injury marks, he added.
Locals alleged some Assam police personnel from Sankartilla police outpost opened fire on four Nagas clearing the jungle at around 8:30 AM killing Supongtemjen.
