The policeman has been identified as Imliakum and his case has been referred to the Election Commission-appointed expenditure monitoring squad deployed to check instances of illegal cash in the state, official sources said.
The case has been reported from Mokokchung district of the state and the constable has been accused of bribing voters in Mangolemba town and Khar village.
Rs 13,300 in cash has been recovered from him and the police and the EC team are investigating whom the constable was working for, they said.
