Narcotics worth Rs 65 lakh seized from drug dealer's residence

Narcotics and psychotropic substances worth around Rs 65 lakh were seized from the residence of a notorious drug dealer in a raid here, Narcotics Control Bureau said today.
The drugs were seized yesterday from the possession of the dealer who was residing in an apartment along with his live-in partner - a model, an NCB statement said.
110 gm of cocaine, 19 gm Hashish, 1.2 gm MDMA and one LSD blot worth around Rs 65 lakh were seized in the raid.
The dealer has been a regular supplier of various drugs for rave and music parties and also to the students and youths of Bengaluru and Mangaluru, it said.

He was previously arrested by CCB, Bangalore Police for drug crime and was out on bail.
The accused was today produced before the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Court.
Under the NDPS Act, this much of cocaine is commercial quantity which attracts upto 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and fine and for repeated offence it is up to death penalty, the statement said.
