Sidhu allegedly uttered Sikh religious quotes singing in a humorous manner in a TV show a few days ago.
Jathedar Akal Takaht (highest Sikh Temporal seat) Gyani Gurbachan Singh cautioned Sidhu saying he should understand the sensitivity of religion. The Sikh community could be annoyed if anybody utters wrong quotations of Gurbani as it hurt the sentiments of the community.
The Jathedar made it clear that so far no written complaint in this regard was filed at Akal Takaht.
However, Sidhu himself should express apology in public as it would soothe the sentiments of Sikhs, he said.
The Jathedar cautioned Sidhu said that in future he should remain careful as no one should hurt the sentiments of any individual or community.
