Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Manish Yaduvanshi issued NBWs against Raj Thackeray and ordered its execution by November 17 after he failed to appear before him in response to the August 31 summons and sought exemption from personal appearance instead.

The court also issued fresh summons against him in two other cases transferred to the capital from Bihar and Jharkhand by the Supreme Court.

The court also issued fresh summonses against Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray for their alleged remarks against Bihar natives that they should be thrown out of Maharashtra.

The summonses were issued over a complaint, which was transferred here from Begusarai in Bihar. The complaint had been lodged by one Ram Lochan Sharma under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code relating to creating public mischief, causing intentional insult, printing defamatory material and promoting enmity between different communities.

He had also said that they had even published material against north Indians in their party mouthpiece "Samna."

On this complaint, a Begusarai court had in July 2008 issued summons to Bal and Uddhav Thackeray.

These cases are among the seven complaints against Thackerays which have been transferred here from Bihar and Jharkhand on a plea by Raj Thackeray that he cannot appear before courts there due to threat to his life. (More)
