Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesman Nawab Malik today filed a complaint with the police that he has been allegedly receiving death threats over telephone.
Malik said he has been getting death threats over telephone for the last few days.
"I had made allegations against BJP leaders. BJP leaders and workers may not have been able to digest the allegations. After I demanded probe against the leaders, my telephone number has been circulated by the BJP workers," he said.
Malik said that he has submitted a written complaint to the state Director General of Police (DGP) and Mumbai Police Commissioner today and also furnished the call records.
Malik had, earlier in September, questioned the veracity of Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde's educational qualifications, and alleged that an RTI query regarding the same was rejected due to Tawde's pressure.
