NDMC officer arrested by CBI in graft case

An Assistant Commissioner of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has been arrested by CBI for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 for favouring the posting of an officer.
The officer of Karol Bagh Zone was demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant for posting him as licensing inspector in his zone, CBI spokesperson said.
A trap was laid and the assistant commissioner was caught while accepting the negotiated bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant, she said.
"Searches have been conducted at the office and residential premises of the accused. The arrested accused is being produced before the designated court, Delhi," she said.
