Deputy Mayor of North Delhi has sought for the removal of unauthorised advertisement hoardings in the city.
In a letter written to the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, Deputy Mayor of North Delhi, Ravinder Gupta also asked for improvement in conditions of traffic lights in Delhi, NDMC said in a statement today.
Gupta in the letter alleged the PWD roads don't have proper road signs and diversion boards. Some PWD roads are in bad conditions due to potholes which also increase road accidents.
He also asked the Lt Governor to direct the PWD officials to trim tree branches in front of sign boards and get unauthorised advertisement hoardings removed.
Gupta also directed the North Delhi Municipal Corporation's (NDMC's) Municipal Commissioner to take action on these points in the areas falling under its jurisdiction.
