Addressing an event organised by the International Institute of Security and Safety Management, Singh said the government is using the IT to create awareness among the farming community and enable them to take wise decisions.
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centres located at a village level are being used widely for this purpose, he was quoted as saying in an official statement.
He also said ICT centres are also being used to monitor implementation of the schemes and also take feedback that will help in taking policy decisions.
