Despite the team announcing the release date multiple times, Regina is still waiting anxiously for the film to hit theatres.
"The wait for 'Nenjam Marappathillai' doesn't frustrate me. The funny part is that every time a new date is announced I feel as excited as I did when the film was supposed to release.
"It's the one film that I am still anxious about and looking forward to. I won't call it as a horror or thriller; it's a dark movie, first of its kind," Regina told PTI.
"I won't say Selva is a demanding director, but a perfectionist. He knows exactly what he wants. A lot of people actually told me that it's going to be difficult working with him. But I never kept that in my mind, and I am glad that I didn't."
The 28-year-old actress, who currently has a bevy of projects in Tamil, says she was always quite careful about her choice of films.
"I have always given a lot of thought to the character and script, that's why I was doing only a few films. From the few commercial offers I got in Tamil, I picked and waited to see how it goes," says Regina.
"I don't know about 'evolved' but I am definitely learning and improving."
Regina has currently wrapped up "Silukkuvaarpatti Singam," in which she co-stars with Vishnu Vishal and will join the sets of director Venkat Prabhu's multi-starrer "Party" in Fiji Islands from the first week of August.
