Model-actress Gauhar Khan today turned showstopper for designer Mandira Wirk on the day four of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW) Autumn/ Winter 2014.
Gauhar, who recently won the celebrity reality show 'Bigg Boss' and also finished shooting her next TV project "Khatron Ke Khiladi', looked stunning in a black dress with thigh-high slit.
"I have been in the modelling industry for six years but I still get jitters when I walk the ramp. But the outfit which Mandira had created for me is simply awesome," Gauhar told PTI.
"It's not over-the-top but at the same time, it's stylish. This beautiful outfit symbolises my style statement of keeping it simple and stylish," she added.
As Gauhar was busy with her other professional commitments, the actress could not attend any fitting sessions.
"Mandira is a good friend of mine and I knew it from the very beginning that she is going to do something best and unique for me. Today I came and just got fitted into her garment,' she said.
Mandira's collection titled 'Ombre', which means shadow in French, predominantly saw short and long dresses and had a colour palette of grey, black and other dark shades.
Gauhar was accompanied by former Miss India-turned-anchor Rochelle Maria Rao and the designer herself on the runway.
Asked if she was missed her new boyfriend Kushal Tandon while sashaying down the ramp, Gauhar said, "It always feels good if you have your loved ones cheering for you. One of my good friends was with me today and I felt good."
Gauhar has also finished her last schedule of shooting of her first lead film 'Fever' opposite TV heartthrob-actor Rajeev Khandelwal. She had bagged the offer of the film much before her stint in 'Bigg Boss'.
The actress said she is more pro to acting these days than modelling.
"I am pro to acting these days. You say 'role, camera and action' I am ready for my shot,' she said.
