Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement at Screen Awards, says he always falls short of words to express gratitude.
"The grace and honour with which colleagues and friends, and all those behind the scene workers, commemorate the 45 years of my existence in this wonderful world of films, can never have sufficient words to fill that immortal cup of gratitude," Bachchan wrote on his blog.
The 71-year-old actor also said that delivering speeches while receiving an award is not an easy task for him and he instead finds such moments awkward.
"It is the most awkward moment in ones life when an honour is announced and there are those that have worked and been close to you, asked to say a few words," wrote Bachchan.
Bachchan, with already a plethora of awards to his credit in a 45-year-long illustrious career, was humbled with the latest felicitation.
"When so many make such great effort to honour one, you almost begin to believe that you have done some good! I have not!"
"Shahrukh, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the eloquent Shatrughan Sinha, present me the Award, but their words for me were bigger award! Does become most awkward to sit and hear three dynamic talents and icons of Industry, praise your presence. Deeply indebted to them!" Bachchan posted on Twitter.
