Newborn dies; FIR against doctors, 2 others

A newborn died at a nursing home in English Bazar town of Malda district just three days after delivery with the family members alleging negligence on part of the hospital authorities, police said today.
A senior police officer said the baby girl died three days' after delivery.
The baby's father, Manoj Mitra, has filed an FIR at English Bazar police station against doctor Z Haque who attended to the patient, besides an unnamed RMO and nurse Seema Devi, the police officer said.
The baby was born on February 24.
