Nickel strengthens on increased demand, global cues

Nickel prices strengthened by Rs 3 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries amid a firm global trend.
Traders said besides increased demand from consuming industries, firm global trend mainly kept nickel prices remain higher.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months was up 0.2 per cent at USD 19,425 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, Nickel (4x4) advanced by Rs 3 to Rs 1,102-1,108 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 114-120, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,102-1,108, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 436, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 113, Lead imported 111, Aluminium ingots 168, Aluminium sheet cutting 169, Aluminium wire scrap 171 and Aluminium utensils scrap 168.
