Night temperatures rise, rains lash in Uttar Pradesh

Night temperatures rose appreciably in parts of Uttar Pradesh even as overnight rains lashed at isolated places in the state.
Moderate fog also engulfed over a few places in the state.
According to the MeT department, chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Salempur three, Musaffirkhana, Zamania two each, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Churk, Barabanki and Allahabad one each.
Night temperatures rose appreciably in Bareilly division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
It was appreciably above normal in Allahabad, Agra divisions, above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, Bareilly, Meerut divisions and were normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

The lowest minimum temperature was recorded 8.2 degrees C at Etawah.
The MeT office, in a forecast, said weather would be mainly dry over the state and moderate fog would occur at a few places.
