Inaugurating a 2.5-km bridge over river Kosi river in Saharsa district in the presence of Sharad Yadav, JD(U) president and party MP from the area, Kumar said if the people continued to extend support, nobody could stop Bihar from getting a special category status which would augment its growth.
The bridge will connect Kosi belt of the state with Mithilanchal area of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharad Yadav thanked the Chief Minister for construction of the bridge which would revolutionise the life of the people of the region.
Presently the people are dependent on country boats for travelling. The region is known for production of maize, wheat, pulses and fish.
